Song post- March Violets

"March Violets"

March Violets is about redemption, in the first stanza there is a description of waiting and striving to be better. The second stanza focuses on the decisions made in the past and how it might be too late to fix the future. The repetition helps the readers see that the speaker is questiong his/her own choices. The loyality that the speaker has to his/her country. In the last line the speaker says that "every day is the Idles of March" might mean that every day is a day of reckoning or loss. You can't trust anyone. There is a hint of a new age great depression, where people are waiting in line, there is not enough food to go around. Poeple are straving, have no money and are looking for a brighter tomorrow. The song could be about the war and how the soldiers are sticking by their country yet they don't know what they are fighting for. Waiting for a better tomorrow to come.

Part 2

The music helped me identify with the song more. When the music was added you can hear the sincerity and passion of the song. The music tells us how to feel and what the song is really about.
